Favs From The Fest: 2018 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival Favorites...PART 1

New passholder incentives this year include this adorable Mickey branded cutting board after 4 visits to the festival.

With the 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Fest lasting a whopping 75 days this year, the most popular of WDW’s festival brings along a slew of new items and returning favorites. True to their statement of providing visitors with “unexpected flavors, five-star chefs and delicious fun,” Here’s my favorites of the fest (SO FAR) and at what Global Marketplace they could be found at.

Craft Beers (located inside the Festival Center)

WHAT TO GET: Flight #1

The stand out without a doubt is the Waff-Ale.. Literally tastes like breakfast in a beer glass. The flavor is not overpowering so I could imagine enjoying a few of these without the heavy feeling that Craft beers can give you.

Central 28 Beer Company Waff-Ale, DeBary, FL

Bold City Brewing 1901 Roasted Red Ale, Jacksonville, FL

Florida Beer Company Passport Triple Chocolate Milk Stout, Cape Canaveral, FL

The Wine & Dine Studios:

Seared Scallops: Truffled Celery Root Puree, Brussel Sprouts, and Wild Mushrooms

If Disney does one thing right, it is scallops. How on earth they can serve perfectly seared scallops time and time again from a hut is beyond me, but somehow they do it. This returnee dish is no exception.

Butternut Squash Ravioli with Brown Butter Vinaigrette, Parmesan Cheese, and Pumpkin Seeds. New to the W&D lineup this year, this perfectly balanced dish is pretty straightforward but delicious nonetheless

Earth Eats:

The Steakhouse Blended Burger. Described as: Blended Beef and Wild Mushroom Slider with Brie Cheese Fondue, Arugula, Truffle and Blue Cheese Potato Chip on a Brioche Bun

Everything about this slider was perfect. It’s rare when a burger has this much going on that it works, but this one does. Definitely a more interesting option than the IMPOSSIBLE Burger Slider given that they seem to be popping up everywhere these days. While this only lasts a few bites, it’s definitely worth getting.
