Rooftop Renaissance: Nashville
I don’t know what it is about Nashville but we’re experiencing a sort of Rooftop Renaissance, as I like to call it. It seems like new establishments are popping up every day that feature a killer rooftop while well-known spots are adding a rooftop to their existing property. Given the climate of middle TN, I’m not complaining.
Here is a look at two of my current favorite rooftops.
RARE BIRD
Located atop of the new-ish Noelle Hotel.
This place has to take the cake for best rooftop downtown. Sitting atop the Noelle Hotel in Printer’s Alley, Rare Bird offers a relaxed environment featuring stunning views of the ‘Batman Building’ and the Cumberland without the pretentious feel that you find at some of the other rooftops.
Having opened this past Spring, my favorite thing to drink has to be whatever frozen cocktail they are featuring at the moment. These tend to rotate pretty frequently. Pictured was one of my favorite’s this summer that included vodka, prosecco, and fresh lemon juice.
Just around the corner, you’ll find the even newer BOBBY Hotel. I absolutely love the theming of this hotel and the fact that it is story driven. ‘Bobby’ was a successful musician who decided to lay his roots in Nashville and open up the hotel. Atop the hotel, you’ll find perhaps the most unique rooftop in town. The rooftop at The Bobby features not only plenty of socializing space but a pool and the highlight for sure, a converted tour bus.
